Do you ever want to find the perfect place to get a drink, grab a bite and watch the game with friends—but can’t find the right spot? It can be a challenge to find a local spot to relax with the type of atmosphere you’re looking for, but this week I’ve found just the place for you. On this episode of Play Hard Frisco, we’re doing something a little bit different: Tailgating With Troy! Since tailgating has always been a huge part of sporting events—and is something I myself love to do—I’m going to show you my go-to tailgate destination. We’ll chat with Tony Spino of Frisco Bar & Grill to learn all about the amazing food, cold drinks and live entertainment that this local eatery has to offer.
Frisco Bar & Grill is the neighborhood’s first bar, a great local hangout that offers amazing food and great ambiance to Frisco residents. Tony first moved to the area from Buffalo, New York, a place where every community with a gas station typically had a local corner bar for its residents to frequent. He quickly realized that, for all of its great qualities, Frisco was missing something he was used to—the cool vibes and community spirit of a neighborhood bar. At the time, there wasn’t a place where people could gather together, eat great food, enjoy a drink and watch the game without having to travel too far. Tony knew there was a void that could be filled, not just for Frisco, but for all of North Texas; and just like that, Frisco Bar & Grill was born!
With 10 years under their belt at a previous location and 1 year at their current spot on Gaylord Parkway, Frisco Bar & Grill is the premier destination of Frisco locals to hang out and enjoy their city. Their full-service menu includes classic bar foods, but also goes beyond: you can get a fresh, hand-crafted salad, chicken wrap or fish taco alongside your buffalo wings, loaded cheese fries or cheddar jalapeno poppers. Their gourmet sandwiches and burgers are also a huge hit; the Frisco Melt features mouth-watering Thousand Island dressing on a grilled sourdough bun and is a local favorite. Whether your looking for big bites or small, there’s something for everyone on Frisco Bar & Grill’s menu.
An expansive drink menu allows you to find the perfect pairing with your meal and has something to suit every taste. Featuring a selection of local vodka, whiskey and craft beers, patrons enjoy their drinks while watching the game on the many mounted flat-screen TVs. Weekly events, including live music and karaoke, offer a fun diversion from the weekly grind and make Frisco Bar & Grill the place to be.
So what are you waiting for? If you want to tailgate at an awesome local joint with great food and cold drinks, head to Frisco Bar & Grill for an experience you won’t forget. Stay tuned to the next episode of Play Hard Frisco to see what awesome local business and points of interest I visit next!
